Have you seen the difference? Insert panel and glass block at the same insertion point. Change visibility state to the Glass state and add the glass block. Test it by switching between all state from the ribbon. Save your block and close block editor. You may delete other blocks to avoid confusion. Click it and change the visibility state. Set glass as the current state. It is not critical. This concept is similar to drawing on layers. We want to make it appears in every state, so we have to adjust its property.

The results will be the same using both methods. The last block is a half size of the previous block! AutoCAD adjusts its size to fit current scale we are using. Learn more about the annotative scale so you can work with it comfortably. If you set the text to 2 mm height, then doesn't matter what scale you are using, AutoCAD plots it with 2 mm height. Let's try to create one. If you want your text to plot at 2mm height, then place it using 2mm height. 1. Make sure we set the current scale to 1:1.

Changing object properties Now select all blocks, override their color and line weight. Use magenta for color and 2 for line weight. You can see only block 2 and 5 are affected. Now freeze Layer 1. We can see block 4 and 5 disappeared because we created those objects on Layer 1. Remember: we moved all blocks to layer 2. When we freeze layer 2, they also disappear! Doesn't matter on what layer the objects inside our blocks. Try to change properties and layers until you understand how they work with blocks.
